“And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes….Along the bank of the river, on this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.” - Ezekiel 47:9, 12
It is very interesting but have you ever stand next to a river and take a look at the surrounding environment around the river bank? I never really did until one day when I drove across a bridge over a deep river on my way to my mother-in-law’s house. The children were swimming freely in the river. Further down, I saw some women washing their clothes in the river. Some men were enjoying an afternoon of fishing activity, undisturbed by the noises coming from the playful children. I noticed lots of trees, bushes, flowers and plantations along the river bank. These were green, healthy plants blooming with life. Along the river bank, there is life.
It was then, I heard this distinct voice said, “where the river flows, it brings life.” Yes, indeed, I began to understand what it means when I looked at the people and activities along the river bank. We have a river within us, too. Whether this river is alive and flowing or mashes of swamps in our lives. Ezekiel 47:1-12 describes this river within us that flows from the sanctuary of God. God was showing Ezekiel the meaning and the purpose of the river. (more…)

Sermon Alive| Category: Faith |
The key to faith is Revelations. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Confidence comes through revelation. Jesus was brought up like any other children of His times. He went to school, to the synagogue to study the word of God, He read the bible everyday, He worshipped God in the temple with His parents. Through His studies of the word of God, He learnt about His identity, who He was and what His mission was on earth. He never doubted His identity. He carried on with the works of the Father although He read of His death, His suffering and His resurrection. He knew He was the Chosen One and the Messiah. The revelation was clear to Jesus throughout His growing up years. John 13:3 clearly says Jesus knew where He came from, what have been given to Him and where He was going. (more…)

Heb 11:1 – Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
‘Substance’ here refers to the foundation that supports you in your life. Your faith is going to carry you through 2008. ‘Evidence’ means ‘confidence’. Faith is being confident of what you are going to achieve based on what you see right now. It is an attitude and a posture of confidence that God is leading you all the way.
Faith is having the confidence of holding yourself or your own when you are with powerful people, bosses, colleagues, subordinates and even family or strangers. God wants us to walk in confidence. Hebrew 10 tells us to hold on to our confidence and not to throw it away.
Without confidence, means without faith, and without faith it is impossible to please God. This confidence is not about arrogance but trusting God and knowing that He will see you through. God’s power travels through an atmosphere of faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. When God’s words are preached, deliverance, healing and all signs of miracles is performed and confirmed through faith. The anointing power travels through our confidence in God. Have confidence that God is with you. With an attitude change, your ministry is changed by having confidence and walking in confidence. (more…)

Sermon Alive| Category: The Wings of God |
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. - Matthew 11:28-30
There are days in my life when I simply wish I can drop all things and run away to hide somewhere where no one can find me. At times, when the going gets really tough and more than I can handle, I just wish I can flush all my problems away into the toilet or splash them away into the drain with a pail of water. Then close my eyes and wish that they never come back again. But despite of all these downcast feelings, I still find the strength to move on and to overcome step by step. Of course, the problems in life never disappear forever and got ridden with. They do come back in all forms and shapes but I discover that I can find rest under the wings of God just like Elijah did (1 King 19) and has his strength renewed. (more…)

Life Choices and Value Judgments
Have you ever wonder why there are people who simply refuse to forgive even when forgiveness is offered? They choose to hold on to anger and unforgiveness, even lashing out in revenge to vent out the hurts. Yet, are they really happy in the end when reconciliation is no longer possible between two persons? I believe the reason is simple. They do not see any values in forgiving the offender and this is not part of their life choices to forgive, to forget and to mend brokenness. (more…)

What the Bible says about Forgiveness
Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. - Colossians 3:13
To forgive someone for the wrong that has been done is easily said than done. How many of us can truly say that we have let go of the past memories, hurts and pains without it really affecting our characters, emotions, decisions, relationships and actions? How many of us can truly say “we forgive so and so for hurting me” in lip service and yet harbour that pain quietly or even wallowing in self-pity? (more…)

For everyone will be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt. - Mark 9:49
We can see the gospels that Jesus always use parables to communicate principles of the Kingdom of God. He said each believer’s life should have the same impact on his or her world as salt has on food. Salt gives food flavor and brings out the best, while at the same time it serves as a preservative. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is-His good, pleasing and perfect will. - Romans 12:2
Paul said that we believer are not same with people in who does not know the Living God is. But you got to notice that we all live in this world where believer and non believer are interact each other. We have our audiences. What audience do you play to? Each day you are seen by many who will make a judgment about the way you handle yourself among different audiences. Politicians have learned to play to their audiences. I believe that America Presidential Candidates are customizing their messages for the needs of USA and particular groups right now. Pastors play to their congregations every week. Workplace believers play to the audiences who will buy their product. (more…)

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. - John 16:33
I have been asked these questions over and over again by Christians – “Why is it so difficult to be a Christian and to be nice to people who are nasty? Why does it seem so easy for other people to lie their ways out of trouble and I have to be honest about the truth? Why does it seem that Christians in the marketplace find it so difficult to live a biblical principle as in the bible?” Friends have commented that it seems harder for committed Christians in business and in works to live out committed biblical principles in their lives. They wondered why. I have only one comment. That is, if you are not a Christian and sought to do your work or business without any regard to maintaining a biblical philosophy or principle, then definitely things will be much smoother. (more…)
