Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved. - Psalms 55:22

Whatever our burden may be, no matter how trivial or overwhelming it seems, we are to cast it to the good Lord. When we cast our burden to Him, His sustaining power will flow through our lives. He will strengthen, support and nourish us. He truly loves us. He truly cares for us.

One of the crippling burdens a man can bear is the burden of sin. The guilt of sin can cripple a man’s walk with God. However, God promises this: 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Because of guilt, life has no joy. There is no peace because of condemnation. A man can become weary and weak because of the crushing heaviness of his guilt. But he need not go through life condemned and defeated. There is forgiveness and cleansing. There is renewal and restoration available with God.

When we confess our sins to God, He is faithful and just to forgive all our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. It may not be easy to accept this fact that God is indeed faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins - known and unknown sins, ’small’ and ‘big’ sins. But God is indeed faithful and just to do that. We have to accept this wonderful truth simply by faith. We can come boldly to Him and confess our sins to Him, acknowledge our wrongdoing and receive His forgiveness and cleansing.
