Many Christian workplace believers who invest years in their businesses will one day stand before the Lord and realize they were building the house, not the Lord. God is very picky about motives behind the actions. Before we act, we must ask why? Why are we doing what we are doing? Has God called us to this task? Or is the real motive purely financial? Come up with a creative solution to a problem that has been costing the company money.

You tackle work at night and on weekends doing the needed research.

Are you discouraged today?

Are you afraid of an uncertain future?

The Bible tells the story of a time when Jesus’ disciples were not only discouraged, but they were afraid for their very lives.

Jesus had told them to get into a boat and go over to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, and they obeyed.
But when they were a considerable distance from land, a fierce storm arose that terrified them.

Jesus, who had been on a mountain praying, went to meet the disciples, walking on the water.
Thinking He was a ghost, the disciples cried out in fear.
So Jesus immediately told them, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.” Matthew 14:27. (more…)

New Paradigms

“I will go over and see this strange sight-why the bush does not burn up.” Exodus 3:3.

Have you ever heard someone say: “God doesn’t work that way? He would never do that.”
Moses had never seen a bush that burned but did not burn up. It got his attention and it drew him to God.

When Jesus appeared on the water in the middle of the night during a storm, the disciples exclaimed, “It’s a ghost!” They had never seen a man walk on water.

This led to a great miracle-Peter walked on the water, too. When Jesus asked Peter to catch a fish and get the coin from its mouth to pay their taxes, you can imagine what Peter must have thought about those instructions.
